Measurements from Drawings with AI

The “Measurements from Drawings” Smart Tool automatically creates room measurements from an uploaded floor plan.

Upload a drawing, and Smetter will identify the rooms, calculate their areas, and determine the key parameters.

Click “Create Measurements with AI”.
To upload a drawing, drag the file into the upload area or select it manually.
Specify the ceiling height, or skip this step if you use the standard 3 m height.
How does it work?
  1. Go to the “Measurements” section in any Project.
  2. Click “Create Measurements with AI” (1).
  3. To upload the drawing, drag the file into the upload area or select the file manually (2).
  4. Specify the ceiling height or skip this step if you use the standard 3 m height (3).
  5. Click “Generate”. Creating the measurements usually takes 2–3 minutes. Keep the window open until the process is complete.
  6. Smetter will automatically identify the rooms, calculate their areas, and create measurement cards.
Next steps
  • Review the generated measurements and adjust the parameters if needed.
  • All measurements are saved in the Project and can later be used when creating an Estimate.

Important! Recognition accuracy depends on the quality of the drawing and the information shown on it. We recommend reviewing the key rooms and making any necessary adjustments.
