Creating Estimates with AI
The “Creating Estimates with AI” tool lets you build an Estimate from scratch using artificial intelligence. Simply describe the project in your own words, and Smetter will automatically create the work structure and suggest the required materials and quantities.
Click “Create with AI” to open the estimate generation window.
In this field, describe the project or structure you want to create an Estimate for.
Enter the dimensions and areas. The more details you provide, the more accurately Smetter can calculate the quantities.
Specify the key characteristics of the Project, such as materials, current condition, and work requirements. The more detailed the description, the more accurate the result.
Choose which prices to use:
Use my cost rates — Smetter will use rates from your Labor and Materials Cost Libraries.

How does it work?
- Open the Work Package. AI estimate creation is available when the Work Package is in “Draft” status or when “Edit mode” is enabled.
- Click “Create with AI” — the estimate generation window will open (1).
- Specify the structure type. In this field, describe the project or structure you want to create an Estimate for (2).
- Enter the dimensions and areas. The more parameters you provide, the more accurately Smetter can calculate the quantities (3).
- Add a detailed description. Specify the key characteristics of the Project, such as materials, current condition, and work requirements. The more detailed the description, the more accurate the result.(4).
- If needed, choose the price source: Use my cost rates — Smetter will use rates from your Labor and Materials Cost Libraries (5); Use supplier prices — Smetter will use current material prices from the selected supplier (6).
- Click “Create estimate”. Creating the Estimate usually takes 2–3 minutes. Keep the window open until the process is complete.
Important! Always review the generated Estimate. If needed, adjust individual items or any other details before using it.
